Extension of Stay

If you are in the US on a temporary visa and your stay is close to expiring, you may consider an extension of stay. The following visa types are most commonly eligible for extension:

• B-1 and B-2 visitors
• F-1 and F-2 Students and their family
• J-1 and J-2 Exchange visitors and their family
